Trinity
Trinity's name is a sign to the world of God's unique Person and the life that results from His love. We pray that Trinity would grow to love our God...who is mysterious and good. Glory be to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. "For in him we live and move and have our being" (Acts 17:28a)
Erika Smidberg Majorins
Erika is Philip's paternal grandmother. A tremendously humble woman of faith. Grandma Erika met and married Philip's grandfather (Janis) after both had immigrated to Nebraska from Latvia during the tumultuous times of WWII. Through God's grace, they raised 5 children together in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Mitzi, Andy, Elizabeth, David, and Timothy). These children have since produced Erika's 18 grandchildren. Janis died in 2000. We pray that like Grandma Erika, Trinity Erika would grow to understand God's faithfulness and the hope of life offered through his Son. As a sidenote, Grandma Erika is known for her authentic Latvian cuisine; the picture to the left displays her famous "latvian torte" that has always been a Majorins family favorite.
